Lawn Care

For many of us a garden just is not complete without a lawn, and here in the UK we have great growing conditions for all types of grasses, and pride ourselves with some of the finest most lush lawns in the world. However left unattended they can quickly become unsightly areas, far from the desirable lawn we have in mind. In most of these cases the cause of disappointment is neglect, and a misunderstanding of the basic principles of lawn care. Its fine if the lawn is your hobby and you have plenty of time, otherwise most people prefer to enlist the help of a professional. Whether you have a worn out lawn, a first class lawn, a formal or utility grade lawn, or you want to create a lawn from scratch there are a wide range of affordable treatments and services available to meet all your lawn care needs. Unlike other lawn care providers there are no contracts or expensive payment plans.

Care is carried out to suit customer requirements, beginning with an initial consultation to diagnose problems, discuss maintenance and quote for work to be carried out . Some of the key services provided are regular mowing, watering during dry periods before the grass shows signs of damage, edging, routine treatments for moss, weeds and disease, aeration, scarification, feeding, reseeding patches, laying turf and topdressing. We pride ourselves in first rate lawn care and offer competitive prices, whether it is a large area of grass surrounding a country property, or a tiny courtyard garden found in the city we will provide a service you can depend on.

Gardeners Tip

research has shown that cutting the grass too short is one of the quickest ways to spoil our lawns. As a general guide lawns should be cut no shorter than a quarter of an inch and left no longer than one and a half inches. The frequency of cut should vary from once a week to once a fortnight depending on the time of year, during the winter months a light “topping” is all that’s required.
